did u know during a sunset, mermaids come out from the ocean to watch !!!!! Its also said that if u witness a mermaid watching a sunset, u can befriend it!!!!!


I just decided to draw a mermaid lol. the scales, fins, ocean gave me a opportunity to test my coloring with warm and cool colors. I like the way it came out, i personally think it could of used a bit more dark cool colors for more contrast. If i kept messing with the picture i would neeeevvver get it done lol.

I used a mixture of warm and cool colors especially on the eyes and scales. the dodge brush was also used, but i used different colors with it. The sky was from a old picture i did before, i decided to open it up and fix it up a bit. basically i started with the lightest colors, and used a soft brush and painted over it. i think its called the "glazing" technique
